Though you will be putting it inside a tied balloon, it may not be completely airtight and your stress ball could harden after a couple days or weeks. With the slime successfully in the balloon, remove as much excess air as possible and tie off the balloon. If you wanted to you could stop here and have a regular stress ball that resembles the cornstarch stress ball described above. Use a modeling clay product or playdough to put into your balloon.
Squeeze out the Excess Air
Carefully begin replacing the air with cornstarch by slowly letting go of where you're pinching the balloon so the cornstarch can slide into it. If you go too quickly, the air leaving the balloon will blow the cornstarch into the air and make a mess. Fill the top of the funnel with cornstarch using your free hand .
You will add approximately 1/2 cup of flour to each balloon. Instead of filling the balloon with dry materials I make cooked playdough and with the cut of top of a juice bottle I fill the balloon with the playdough. Pull up tightly on the opening of the balloon and pinch out any extra air.
